STi displacement

Tell me if im wrong guys but after reading the specs that subaru let out(for the 20th time), i noticed the displacement was 2,457cc and the evo8 has 1997 cc

im not 100% sure that the 2.457cc is correct because ithought u had to have under 2000 cc to compete in the rally(im not sure about this just a guess)

I don't really know how to say this without sounding offensive. Twenty reads to find that. I hope your driving is much better than your reading comprehension. You must be suffering from ADD or something. I should cut you some slack being that you're probably a product of CA public education (48'th in the country).

The USDM car has a 2.5 litre motor in it. The JDM and EDM cars are 2.0 Litre. The WRC car has to be under a certian displacement and must be derived from a motor available for sale to the public. In other words it doesn't make one bit of difference for the WRC that one market of a car sold globally (Now at least) does not have a motor within the required displacement. The Impreza competed for years while only being sold in the states with a 2.2l or a 2.5l motor. Did it matter then? No, same goes now. Hope this clears everything up.

w/ the current volume they selling in Japan and UK

they can still participate in Group A (if it still exist )

with Group N ( FIA ) you do need a 2.0 liter.

but US dont' use FIA rules anyway..

oddball.... i say we get rid of the mph and lbs..

go w/ the metrics system
