Fitting STi mud guards
hey, I'm doing something rather special for 2004 STi mud guards and will let you guys know in month or so through the correct channels here on i-club.
at this early stage I would appreciate to know how many members would be interested in having these mud guards fitted to their 2004 STi's? (forget about price)

that's excellent JikJak, I'll let you know soonest.
however the point of this post was just to see what the interest was for mud guards from subaru owners since i will be specializing in the 2004 STI/WRX as I have an STI myself. personally i believe there is potential out there for the mud guards at right priced as ones i've seen are really far too expensive..
anyway they are really going to be something special...so watch this space

I have got mudflaps on mine, I was after white ones, but they have discontinued other colours except red and blue

I would be interested. Colors to match body color would be great (my car is silver).
Mounting hardware and technique are critical to me. I want ones that require no additional holes (don’t want to drill in rust prone areas), have a stainless steel "backup" plate to brace the mounting hardware on the wheel well side and will not come loose when driven through deep deep snow or at high speeds. It seems that my wife tears a flap or two off of her Rover every winter due to snow and ice buildup.
Has anyone considered a flap to shield the forward end of the rear trailing arm and its bushing? Look at the undercarriage of a recent model Land Rover Discovery to see what I mean. The STi flap just covers the front of the rear wheel well, not the trailing arm area.
I also am strongly interested in heavy duty aluminum under trays that go beyond what Primitive Racing has to offer and a STi specific rear diff protector for the larger diff we have.

wrxevo5 I think the red ones were a better choice. I like the red flaps with the red tail lights. Nice color coordination.
