Debadging the STi
I'd like to debadge the rear of the STi taking off the Subaru letters and the WRX badge. As a first time prospective Suby owner, I'm just wondering how Subaru paint holds up to the hair drier/adhesive remover/, dental floss treatment? Any experience with WRX? Thanks!

Dude you dont need that, just use alcohol and pull the letters off, the wrx is a little harder, just use alcohol.

I use dental floss to remove badges. Then use alcohol to remove the adhesive. I'm sure like the Integra Type-R (the red emblems), people will want to steal the STi badges. It's a shame that we have to do these things to prevent vandalism.

I plan on putting a CF trunk on mine and changing the front bumper right away. That way no one will be able to tell it's a Sti.

Probably the only badge I'd remove is the Subaru logo in front of the radiator vent. I prefer a clear air passage...and I'm not too fond of the logo, either. (sorry)

I'm thinking of debadging so I don't have to worry about them being removed by someone else... who's not worried about the finish underneath.

We're getting ours this summer plus it will be a 2.5 and more torque out of the box... that's why we might worry.

STi engines and parts are going to be sought after. I think STi's are going to have a high theft rate like the integra type R and GSR. A thief could make a fortune stripping an STi and selling the parts
