Climate control ***** don't light up?
The STi climate control ***** have no illumination on them whatsoever, right or wrong?
Mine don't, and I'm curious if that's how they are supposed to be.

Wrong.
They definitely illuminate...and are bright when set at "Ill 5" and very visible even when set at "Ill 1".

Mine do not. I had a stereo installation place install speakers in my car and they removed the radio area bezel so that they could use a test deck to try out the speakers, but nothing more. What do you think could have been disconnected around that area that would make them stop working?

Possibly a busted wire or something...?
All I can do is verify for sure that the HVAC buttons (AC. RECIRC & DEFROST) as well as the rotary dials all do illuminate.

Make sure that the intensity light setting dial on the left of the steering wheel is adjusted to the right setting as i suspected the same problem with my car .I realized that if it is set at the lower setting , you do not get any lightning on the radio and HVAC controls

Nope...even with the intensity set to low ('ILL 1') the HVAC switches and dials are well lit. Lit more than enough that its obvious that they are in fact illuminating.
Bottom Line: Kuonji needs to take his car back to the stereo shop and tell them they munged something up.

Kuonji,
I'm curious to know what happens.
Let us know the result of your conversations with your installer.
I'm sure they accidentally cut a wrong wire and disabled your illumination.

Ok, well, I removed the front bezel which included disconnecting the climate control wires (which were securely connected before). I looked everywhere and didn't see any sort of loose wire or anything that would possibly make the illumination not work. So I'm not really sure what's going on. Maybe it's a blown fuse that powers the illumination there?
