Alternative to STI ?

With those choices, I'd love an Elise! To be more practical, if there were no STi coming....or if they are so limited or expensive (after dealer markup) that they go over $34k, then I'd be inclined to either keep my RS or go for a used S4 for around $30k.

However, it's not *that* much heavier than an STi and probably wouldn't be too difficult to get it down to 3,400lbs or so...

I love my RS and I think I am really brand loyal in the sense that I would love the STi...but if the price of the STi is $35,000, I'd rather put myself in a G35 coupe (which I almost bought).
The STi is pure performance oriented, and while the G is also, you do get a lot of luxury appointments (leather, etc.), not to mention better service than the Subaru dealerships over here in Hawaii. That's my biggest concern...I've pent a lot of time at our Infiniti dealership and their service dept. and customer service beat anything Subaru has to offer.
