Gee if it's a 3.0, then it means they are using the H6 engine. I wouldn't be surprised if we see the Legacy STI w/ the 3.0 turbo as talked about on Car and Driver, that was a wagon! Woo Hooo!

damn.............

how much are aftermarket Trannies??
If our 6MT that we're getting can't handle the 3.0l turbo then nobody's 6MT is gonna be able to handle 350hp. Everybody's got the same tranny AFAIK. I'd like to see Subaru develop their own updated 6MT rather than go to Getrag and have them put one in for them. I know they have some R&D money to spend.

well, good question, and that article just answered it for you. Supra and Skyline all uses getrag gears, that's why they can take mad horse power...let say 1000HP on the crank?

350hp

That cars gonna be intruding into M3 territory (like the current one isn't ) . I'm sure that if it is going to be a 3.0l, its gonna be a H6. But then, I'm sure it'll be priced just high enough so that peons like me can't afford it. I'm starting the price war at at least 35,000 MSRP.

when I get my H6 350hp in 2007, i'll be congregating with Porsches, not M3's

I'd love to see a sequential semi-auto hooked up to that H6!! If VW can make DSG tranny, why not Subaru?
