Xtant Subs?
I am currently shopping for a good SQ sub
I was looking at the Xtant 1044, the Audioban Alum10, the Alumapro Alchemy 10, or an Eclipse Alum
Im sure there are other accurate 10's on the market, but, I cant decide and its hard to find these things in town to hear em.
Any input would rock, I have a choice of 2 amps I have to use, 1) Memphis St500D or a Hifonics Zeus 400

It all comes down to you're preference. You'll find people that like each of those subs......the best bet is to find a way to hear them in YOUR car. I know its difficult but its the best way. I'm running an older JL12W6 but have been thinking about changing it out. I've listened to the newer W6, Xtant, and Boston Pro and still have no idea what I'm gonna do
The xtant is accurate and has very good response.
Boston loves power and has that sweet boston sound.
The W6 in JL HO box straight slams with good quality considering its a ported enclosure. I'll be honest, the 1-10" was hitting extremely hard.
So far I'm leaning toward the xtant but I will look into the eclipse....although I've never really been a fan of anything from them other than headunits

The JL sub isnt a bad unit, But go hear an Xtant before you try it! I did a honda civic with a BD1000 and 2 Xtant 12s, it was one of the loudest and hardest hitting basic systems ive ever done! They are EXTREMLY hard hitting IF you give them ample power, but at the same time they are disgustingly clean! No distortion whatsoever even at high volumes!
I personally run the Rockford Fosgate HX2 series though, ive found that to be my new favorite sub... it runs in low airspace, handles gobs of power, and when setup correctly is SUPER clean while delivering gut pounding bass! My setup is a Rockford Power BD500 running to a single HX2 12 and its AWESOME!!!
If your ever in the area for one of our Vivid Racing meets please stop by and listen to it! I promise you wont be dissapointed with Fosgate! Especially the Power line!

I've really been wanting to hear a W6v2 in a sealed enclosure but havent had an opportunity.
And once again Xtants subs hit quick, hard, and remain very clean with the right power. Eventually my 3yr old W6 will die and my xtant6.1 will be FORCED to power an xtant sub
