WRX head unit removal question

WRX head unit removal question

exactly how labor intensive is removing the stock head unit on a 02 wrx? i can't seem to get at it and i'm wondering if i'm missing something incredibly stupid.

its fairly simple
all you have to do is remove the radio trim. to make it easier, remove the cup holder. then unscrew the 6 screws that hold the radio in place. thats all.

it all depends on whether you want to solder the wires to the harness or crimp them. Crimping them will be much faster and simpler but wont give the best connection.
