Turbo timers and alarms - questions about what to connect/disconnect

I bought an 03 WRX without a factory alarm and plan to get an alarm system with ignition kill later.

However I also ordered a Blitz dual turbo timer which i plan to install soon and i am wondering after that is installed, will i have to take things into consideration when i have an aftermarket alarm system installed? Like will i be able to manually open the car with the key without setting off an aftermarket alarm, or can i have it installed in way taht it wont go off when i open the car with the keys?

Ed

I have a Clifford aftermarket alarm on my 03 WRX. The model I have has a turbo timer function, I have it set to a 5 minute cool down, but it is adjustable. I have remote start as well. the way to activate it is simple, press the remote start button while the car is running, wait a few seconds, and remove the key as usual. you can arm the alarm with no problems, just make sure if you have aftermarket exhaust that the shock sensor is not set so sensitive that the exhaust rumbles will trigger it.

as for your other question, most aftermarket alarms WILL trigger if you try to open the car manually without disarming it first.

do you mind telling me what model of the clifford alarm do you have? because i'm planning to get a aftermarket alarm, but i also wanted to have a turbo timer on the car at the same time, and i always thought that wouldn't work becuase of the turbo timer + alarm wouldn't work. also, do you have the "remote start" function on your alarm?

I do have the remote start function. The remote start and turbo timer function are kind of tied together. I have the Clifford Concept 200 alarm system with the Intellistart 4 module. To get the turbo timer function to work properly, you have to get it done by someone or a shop that really knows their way around Clifford systems and has the software to program it via laptop.

Those are the models that I posted. Click HERE to get to their website, and look at the CONCEPT and ACCESSORIES icons on the side to view models and options.
