single relay method for turbo timer with viper/clifford alarms!
update on the turbo timer and aftermarket integration information. previously, i suggested using 2 12 volt relays to allow the the turbo timer operate and be able to arm the viper/clifford alarm. i've come up with a way to use 1 relay.
What's required:
1) 1 12 volt 30 amp relay Bosch or equivalent
2) 5 Female fully insulated spade terminals
3) 10 or 12 gauge wires
4) various insulated crimps
If you're not able to do the following, print and give it to your installer.
Pin 86 and Pin 87 should be attached to your Turbo Timer Ignition Output wire.
Pin 87A should be attached on the Key side of your ignition wire and the Ignition Sensing wire off the Viper/Clifford alarm system.
Pin 85 is ground
Pin 30 is the Car side of the Ignition wire.
How this works?
When the Turbo Timer is off, Pin 87A and Pin 30 is connected, alarm functions normally etc
When the Turbo Timer is operating, Pin 87 and Pin 30 is connected and your vehicle is idling, your alarm will then be able to be armed since the Ignition sensing wire will not sense the Vehicle is running. Obviously, you will need to remove your key to arm the alarm.
