Screen instead of radio
I remember reading a post or two a long time ago for wrx's, how a guy in the forum started making screens, that looked like factory, that went right were the radio would be. It looked like how it does in my previous post about (turbo is or sti) in those pictures.
Does anyone have more info?
Looking to get a touch screen monitor anyone have any ideas as i've been more into ext/engine mods, and not to familiar w/ the products for stereo systems. Thanks.

Eclipse has a new unit out. Its a double din (it will fill your stock opening entierly) It will play cds, mps, ect and dvds, dvd audio, and it has built in navigation. It retails for 2300, but it is hella worth it. It has two drives, each optimized for the media it plays, so you can use the nav in the dvd slot while you listen to a cd in the cd slot. Its the AVN 2454. If you don't need nav, they have a double din touch screen that has a built in disk drive for storing mp3s, and it is less expensive.

That thing looks realy cheesy... And you still need to get a cd player and have it install somewere. 350 for the screen, 600 for the dvd player he is recomemding, and at least 120 for the install, and no warranties. Dosent sound like that good of a deal to me. Go with an eclipse AVX2494. Retail is something like 1500 and its all in one, you get Eclipse quailty (eclipse is prob. the best out there) all in one dvd cd player and a 20 gig hard drive and a two year factory warranty!
No brainer...

Think you might be a little biased? I've seen more mosts than I can count pimping your shop. Maybe you should become a vendor.
clear this up for me because I'm curious if you think his screens look "cheesy"
Why because I've seen a couple. They look great and I've heard nothing but awesome comments on them. Their clarrity, viewing angles and how smooth they go in and how clean they look.

Those screens are really nice my friend here has one and the picture is crystal clear and the guy burns them for like three days to make sure all the pixels work..I like the screen in the dash I've seen them in person and they are worth the $300+ that he charges..

screens in the dash are pimp. . .IMO the head unit mounted on the gauge pod are is not pimp. someone should design a special fitting to where the head unit is paralel to the manual shifter.
