Radio signal strength
is there anyway i can strengthen the signal my aftermarket OR stock radio picks up so i dont get so much static while listening to FM? I have an 01 RS and have a stock radio right now and planning to replace it with a clarion or alpine cd/mp3 player

read the second post. I THINK i remember someone saying their unit didn't have pin 14 connected or something. After the person connected it and it was good...

after all, these days with MP3s, satellite radio, cd's... tuners seems to the least important part.
i'm using an OLD sony mobile ES deck circa 1996, that touted a killer tuner. something to do with rejecting specs.
anyways, another thing is make sure that the antenna mount has a ground.
one way of improving OEM antennas is that the mount is on bare metal.
and that the length of the antenna is around 31". that's tuned to the center of the FM band.
