oem sound system problem
got into the wrx this morning, pressed "load" button and got ready to insert a disc. the screen then printed some nonsensical letters, like "ST" and the number 1, then froze! couldn't load a disc, can't get the radio to go on, no cassette, etc. Anyone have any ideas?? now i can't even get the screen to shut off?! it was working yesterday - car is 6 months old!! do i have to bring it in to service, or is there someway i can clear the system? thanks for any suggestions.

I wanted to know if it really worked, other wise I wasn't going to waste my time taking my car in. And I want the know as ittle about my mods as they can. I know one get there, so he will not make me pay for they dumb asses working on the mods like other places have tried.

If the sound on your window comes from the front triangle piece all you have to do is push it(the triangle piece) in just a bit with the window down. I did this to mine about 3 months ago and it hasn't made a sound since. This seems top be a pretty common problem. Mine was also making alot of wind noise at high speeds, not anymore.-James
