newbie needs help installing 1 din

Just ordered a Pioneer DEH-P7700MP to replace the stock stereo and am planning to install it myself. Am a bit intimidated by the idea as I have never changed a car stereo before and I don't want to damage the interior. Would appreciate any links and/or pix to remove/install 1 din stereo in a 2003 Outback wagon. Also when my wallet recovers, I am interested in upgrading the front speakers and possibly getting an amp. Any suggestions? Am looking for something reasonably priced but not bargain basement. Thanks.

changing head units isn't that hard. just keep track of where you take the screws out of. also make sure you have the appropriate harness to connect your radio to the outback harness.

Cool Thanks

Just checked out the link. That should do the trick. Thanks again. Will post again later after it is done. Hopefully without the bummed out icon
