New Alpine 9813 ate my cd.
I finally had an audio system installed in my STi last night after driving around in silence for two months. The radio sounded great, and I was excited to see how a CD sounded. I popped one in, and it made an alarming rattling sound for about 1 second before it seemed to settle down. Unfortunately, the display reads "no disc," and I can't play or eject the CD.
Has anyone had this problem before? Is this something that can be remedied, or am I going to have to send the unit back?
Thanks!

A day or two after i installed my Alpine 9825 deck, i put disk in only for it to say "LOAD" no matter what button you pushed. I looked around on the internet and found there's a reset button under the face plate. I pushed that and it reset itself and ejected the CD. Hope that works for you.

Try to reset it, if that doesn't work unplug the the wiring harness wait 10 seconds and plug it in. If that doesn't work than you will have to get it fixed or exchanged. If you want I work for an authorized Alpine servicer, and I can fix it for you. Let me know.
