need help with xm commander install in din opening

need help with xm commander install in din opening

well i want to install my xm commander unit in my din opening, under my pioneer h/u

what i really need to know is where can i get the plate the surrounds the commander inside the din pocket to make it look clean and flush?

has anybody done this if so where did you get this plate/bracket/mount, whatever it is

At my shop, we would space the pocket back by 1/8" and glue a peice of 1/8" abs to the front of the pocket. Cut you whole for the commander mounting bucket and drill a hole in the pocket to get the wire in. Most towns have a plastic shop to buy the abs, if not try a stereo store. The other cool thing to do would be to get the Legacy pocket with the door and mount the commander behind the door so you could hide it.
