Hey, thanks for the info vapo .. I think it would be cool if I used those port tubes. the only problem would be geting them large enough .. 10"sq. x 16" long - 8 sq. in. is easy, thats just about two 4" round ports per speaker .. but do they make them 16" long. Oh well, I guess i could use some PVC to make them longer.

Just a little warning for anyone attempting this project.
I've been working on my box for a while and i kept wondering why i was getting sick all the time. Turns out my respirator didn't filter out "organice vapors". When you buy your mask, make sure to get the one you get does.

wow u got sick? I did mine with a mask that was just for silica dust, because thats what can really **** you up. For vapors I just tried to breath away, but i was also doing it outside. Hope you feel better man

My mask seems to work fine can still smell some of the resin vapors but not as bad if I did not have one on.. OH I had to make my box smaller to big for speaker plus once it was all together it didn't fit anymore so trimed about 6in off one end now have to reglass and finish it again... Man a wood box would have been much easier and cheaper but not as much fun to make...

Thats enough mine is only three and I tried it out it sounded good but I felt it was just a little big thats why I cut it to make it smaller....I wouldn't bother with putting more layers on it....

I got my trunk layed out and I'm ready to start the bottom layer .. i'm just wondering how much time It will take. When I get home from work I figured it would be a good time to work on it, I just don't want to be up until 1:00 in the morning waiting for it to dry.

Home Depot but I should have tried to get it a boat supply store/marinia or something like that I used the weave not sure what the difference in finished product would be. Mesh seems like it would be smoother.
