Anyone know about changing the chime on an oem alarm for when you lock the doors? A friend of mine has a 2006 STI that has a melodic little sound whenever he locks the door but I only have a beep when I lock it like 4 times. He got his car used so he does not know what the previous owner did.

 

If you're not getting a tone everytime you lock or unlock your car, it's probably that you (or someone else) turned the tone off with the key fob. Look on the back, it should have directions for turning it on/off. I think you unlock it and hold both unlock and lock down together for a few seconds. Or maybe you lock it then hold down lock and unlcok together for a few seconds, I forget.
