mb quart....to buy or not to buy
#16
MB Quart is owned by Rockford Fosgate - i think most of their models are made in the usa now, except for the Q-Line which are still made in Germany (supposedly) ..
Personally, I like the MB Quart sound, I have some I still need to install in my WRX .. the highs are a bit higher than most and do need some eq tweeking ..

MB Quart used to rip. I've never been a fan of them but they used to be top notch quality speakers. Tweeters to bright for me.
But since they were bought out the quality has dropped in most of the lines. I would not recommend buying anything but MB's top shelf stuff. And in that case for that dollar amount I'd probably recommend something else.
If the price range you're looking at is the $250 or so range there are a lot of options. Check out www.onlinecarstereo.com tons of stuff there.
I like CDT in that range. Probably what I will get.
I like JL's XR line. I used to run them. I Alpine Type R's. Boston Pro series.
All depends on your price range and your preference in tweeters. Some like that super bright titanium dome sound. Some like me like more mellow natural but yet detailed tweets....like quality silks.
If you're running them in stock location you'd almost want something a little stronger cause the sound stage is so low. I'm running min in the pillars.
