Loose/rattling parts
I just installed 2 10" subs and alot of stuff is rattling around in my car. I have found some of it but before I start to tear the car apart to make it completely silent, have any of you had experience with what would rattle in an 02 WRX?
Thanks
Nick

Thanks.
I also found that the red brake light behind the back seats hits the window when the subs are hitting. I think I will try to put something in-between the window and the light to cushion it and then see if those two are making any noise. I didn't notice anything from my rearview mirror and it wasn't shaking tooo much, but it's possible.

Found something else that rattles a ton...
My clock. The whole mount that you pop out to put a 3 gauge pod in there instead is rattling like crazy. After that it should be tolerable.

A great fix for this is self-sticking felt pads. Trim small pieces to fit around the edge of the panel and retaining clips - poofff - the rattles are gone. You can get this at home depot, typically packaged with a couple of pieces that are 4” x 6”. Black or brown.
This is a good fix for the clock, dash trim and other small snap in panels.
Bigger panels like the rear deck, trunk lid, doors, etc..... use sound deadening material - Dynamat, Hushmat, Roadkill, etc....
License plates are another good one, the trim around the rear windows in a wagon and the heat shields around the exhaust can rattle over time too.
