A friend with an '03 Forester is having problems with the range on her keyless entry system: often she has to hold the remote up to the window for it to work. A new battery/dealer visit did not help. I was wondering if I could simply re-route the module's antenna wire to a better area, and/or splice an additional length of wire to the stock antenna wire. Does anyone know which wire is the antenna? I checked several install instructions posted here and at scoobymods, but it was unclear.

I'd also be interested in hearing if anyone else has experienced this poor range problem and/or has any other suggestions for a fix.
