Help! Stereo Head Unit won't turn on after Oil Change
Went to get oil changed at Quicky Lube, turned stereo off right before entering. Left place drive around tried to turn on Stereo system, but stereo doesn't power up. No lights are coming from it. I took it back there they checked the wiring from the battery and they said that they didn't touch the wiring at all. So i took it to Radioshack, (small town no stereo shops) They said it would probably be a fuse since the whole unit didn't power up. Now my problem is How do i know what fuse is the Head unit fuse, I don't have owners manual if anyone can help!! Also could it be something else? My Alarm, radar detector and Turbotimer still works. Thanks guys

check to see if the accessories work also...ie cig. lighter, interior lights. also, did you check the fuses under the hood, or under the dash? i don't think it would be the ground that's causing the shox you keep getting. it could just be dry weather.

first, say what year/model car you have.
then say what radio it is, oem or aftermarket, etc...
finally, you dont know the time i tore apart my truck thinking it was a fusible link buried in the dash why something wasnt working.
turns out the fused i replaced a blown one, looked OKAY but when i tested it with a voltmeter, it was dead....
