Help with programming a keyless remote

Hey guys,

My old Key FOB stopped working, even after replacing the battery in it, it would not work.

I purchased a new one from SubaruGenuineParts and it seems that the style was upgraded to the "teardrop" style.

Anyways, I had to disarm my alarm so I could use the dang car and I haven't been able to lock the car for a little while.

I have followed the manual to a T and the car will not go into programming mode for some reason. Any ideas?

(I have followed the threads on Nasioc and none of them work)

Do you guys know if I need to re-arm the alarm to get this to work or should that not matter?
