Question Factory Alarm Light output

Does anyone know which wire of the alarm harness is the one that makes the light in the dash blink? I wanted to hook up an LED to it and place it in a more prominent position like the doors.

TIA

I'm also interested in this mod. Would like to add a blinking LED light. Detailed instructions on how to do this would be nice...also what parts are required?

Here is the wiring for the security light. The bottom part is what you are interested in, that is the switched (pulsed) ground from the security module.

am I reading this right?

Is it pin 9, connector B36 and the color is White with a green stripe??

Is this module the one under the dash, over the fuse box, or the one in the ceter console next to the e-brake?

thank you very much the information.

The module is the security module in the center console. It's pin 9 on the module, and 12 on connector B36. On the other side of B36 it becomes brown/red.

As you can see the security light LED incorporates a resistor, so make sure you have a resistor in series with any additional LED(s) you add, don't connect them directly.

ok...dumb Acadian here has questions here if you don't mind?

1) How does the led turn on? as soon as you turn off the car?
2) If I go to Radio Shack to get parts for this mod..what do you need? 800 Ohm resistor? LED Holder and LED light?

thanks guys...
