Which Diamond Audio Components fit?

Hi all, not sure what the mounting depth is on the front of the '06 wrx. Looking at some with 2.3" depth so hopefully someone can shed some light as to whether they'll hit the window when down.

Also, I've read they're 6.5" but will I need to cut into the door? Or, if I go 5.25", will I lose a lot of low frequencies?

Sorry for the questions but TIA!

nm, searched for "depth" and found it. stock is 5.25" but can fit 6.5" with some modification.

I have the Diamond 6.5" components in my STi. They required a spacer to fit though. Don't ask me how big the spacer is because I had all the work done at a shop, and I never saw them put the speakers in. The model number on the Diamond's that I have is CM361. Hope that helps a little.

AirwolfSTi, how much did it cost to get your components installed? Did you have an amp or any dynamat? I also wanted to get components in my 04 STi, but the shop quoted be 315 just for an install of a 2 channel amp and front components, no materials included.

The CM361s are what I have, lol. When all my parts come in (ebay), I'll head out to car stereo joint and pick up some spacers. I was told they're $15 a pair for 6 1/2" speakers and 3/4" thick. Hope that'll work. I gotta get some industrial strength velcro to mount the tweeter and crossovers in the doors. I've been reading so much on here and nasioc and I'm ready for the install.
