Component Crossover Mounting and Wiring
I've searched for this but I can't find it. Where is a good place to mount the crossover for front component speakers. Also once I get them mounted which wires do I hook up to the input. I know I have to hook the tweeter and the woofer to the crossover but where do I find where to get the input. I know the factory tweeter and factory woofer have separate harnesses. Do I just hook it up to the factory woofer harness or do I have to find some other wires. Please Help.

My xovers are installed inside the door just under the arm rest. Use some double stick tape first and find a good spot so when you put the door panel back it wont get in the way, dont forget to screw the xovers when you find the right spot.
Xovers usually have 6 inputs, 3 pos & 3 neg. 2 for the tweeters, 2 for the mids, 2 for the input from power source (amp or headunit). If your using the Head Unit to power the speakers, just hook up the stock pos/neg speaker wiring to the xovers.
If yours using an external amp to power the speakers, you have to run new speaker wires in the doors.

Ok. Thanks. I understand that I have to hook up a positive and negative from the head unit but do I hook up the positive and negative that goes to the factory woofer because I know there are seperate wires going to the factory tweeter and do those go unused.
