Broken alarm horn

Broken alarm horn

ok so the horn on my alarm broke and not sure if i can easily fix it since the wires broke off at the base of the horn and theres not much to retap on to..

any bright ideas on how to fix something like this or maybe anyone know where n how much to get a new horn?

$10-15 at any radio shack...

cut the plastic cover around the wires with an x-acto knife and solder new wires on.

If you're handy with electronics and can solder (and desolder), it's usually possible to open those sirens up and pull out the circuit board, and solder new wires on. There should be screws inside the horn. But since a new one is fairly cheap it may not be worth the bother.

yah it seems like its not worth my time and effort to try and solder new wires on... might have to check out radio shack.. i was thinking some audio places but thinking it might be expensive there... thanks people

no luck at radio shack, fry's electronics, or pepboys. neither had anything close to the alarm horn

any other ideas where to get one cheap?

try car audio shops...

weird...

worse case, try weird stuff down in san jose. they carriy ... well weird stuff... weird electronic stuff.
