5.1 system (not super expensive one?)
im planning to get either an in-dash DVD player or the separate
modular type using the 7inch display mod show on in this forum.
this will be sometime in Jan-Feb 03..but would like to do some
research first.
i want 5.1 capability but not very sure what to expect. I do not
need a super loud system, just enough to get a decent deep
sound. I plan on using factory premium speakers + center sp.
1. what amp would you recommend?
2. what center speaker would you recommend?
if i get the in-dash player, i plan to put the center sp
in the factory clock area.
3. would i have problems with my aux current? such as
dimming interior lights or headlights? if so, what can
be done to improve this area? I read some things about
caps helping/not helping, etc in this forum.
thanks,
ken

an aftermarket battery would help the lights dimming problem
correct me if i'm wrong, but are you planning on using the factory speakers? i would suggest against this for two reasons
1) the factory speakers (upgraded or not) don't handle extra power well (adding an amp)
2) also if you are wanting to build a 5.1 capable system the stock speakers won't provide you the quality you are looking for (at any volume)IMHO
just my dos pesos, take it for what you will and good luck
