2-way alarm - worth it?

I'm thinking about getting an aftermarket alarm and I wanted to know if it's worth the extra money for a 2-way alarm.

I park my car inside my garage nightly, so I'm mainly interested in getting alerts when I'm out and about (the mall, movies, work, etc). I've seen claims of up to a 1/4 mile away for the clifford rsx3.5, but realistically... would I be able to get an alert on my pager while I'm inside a large concrete building?

TIA

Car Info: STI
It's worth it if you get decent reception. Most do claim ranges up to 1/4 mile but most dont meet this spec. From what I've heard from others it seems 1000' is a little more realistic.....but I know very few people that were ever happy with the performance of DEI remotes

I'm partial to clifford products (running an IG7000 in my STI) as they seem to be more reliable than others and have used better sensors over the years. I'm running a custom 2-way which integrates a 3rd party remote with my IG7000. It performs pretty well but it's not perfect. It seems to have better (and more consistent) range than the standard packages from Clifford, Viper, etc.

People seem to like the features Compustar offers but I'm not sure how well their "alarm" really is.

thanks for the info... I think I'm going with a decent 1-way alarm - probably clifford matrix 3. I'll probably never get good reception with the 2-way for it to be worth the extra $$$

If you don't have aftermarket stereo's, amps, subs the 1 way will be fine, but if have invested on some high end stereo stuff i recommend to get the 2 way alarms like the clifford 2.5X or the Viper 690XV, i had an 1 way alpine alarm and it was useless, they jacked my car and took my stereo stuff.
