02 WRX Factory Sub Woofer Problem!

there should be a ground, positive, and a remote, unless subaru has created something new. now there are also speaker wires but it also depends on weather its rca or reagular positive negative wires. well, the positive is usually on all the time and should not affect the amp cause the remote wire is the one that turns on/off the amp. the remote wire is usually also smaller too. it is the one that will go along with the stereo on/off.

the sub shouldnt have power. thats what the remote wire is for. it keeps the power off until you want it on. they must just be using some different system for it if the dealership says thats normal. if you find out let me know im kind of curious-Todd-

This is why i do all my own stereo work in any car i own. I just like knowing where everything is and how its set up so if i ever encounter a problem i know where to start
