I blame AMD for telling my comp blows and i should start replacing parts, just because its not their drivers.
I blame MS for not fixing this issue as it has affected many users not only myself. If you don't have the problem good for u ur one of the lucky ones.
I blame both of those companies for not working together to fix a common problem that affects BOTH of their products.
What i have read people with older cards like a ATI x1950 would have the same issues but then i don't hae that problem with my x1950 and it only occured with x4850.

well thats the thing im running catalyst 9.2 with no issues. i think ATI has since released 9.4. i gave him a solution to the linked driver that vista faults with the BSOD. for some reason vista wont update that particular file correctly and you have to manually take file permission and replace it with the updated version. i dunno if he tried it,,,
also the copy of vista updates fine and doesnt go into retarded mode cause it's a "valid" copy ;p

maybe, my first guess was his p/s was crapping otu on him but he said his rails are holding fine. but there seems to be a ton of people with the same issue,, and they all fault to an ATI display driver with Vista
