That is old news. I knew about that last week. I thought I told you about that. That bond with WB n Blu-Ray made HD DVD cancel their showcase. They were also dealing with WB but I guess Sony dump some more cash on them. LOL

Sony Blu-ray-to-PSP Movie Transfer Gets Official
Sony synergy FTW! Sony officially announced Blu-ray-to-PSP movie transfers at CES today. Pop a Blu-ray movie into your PS3, jack in your PSP and download to the portable or a Memory Stick for keeps. It's sorta like pre-ripped iPod rips on DVDs, but on Sony's ball field. [Kotaku]

MS and Toshiba are backing HDDVD....those two are giants already
that one pr0n studio that released that pirates movie swayed to blu-ray
like i said before whoever pr0n picks will win
though the word is MS wants to drag out the format war to make way for digital downloads instead. there was that and the rumor of a xbox 360 w/ built in hd-dvd...nope... too bad for toshiba....

is this the digital downloads you are talking about?

Microsoft has inked a deal with MGM Studios to make more than 50 classic movies available on its Xbox Live service for the Xbox 360 console.

Titles include "Rocky," "The Silence of the Lambs" and the James Bond franchise.

In addition, XBox Live will add to its TV holdings, with series from Walt Disney Co.'s ABC, Disney Channel, Toon Disney and ABC Family joining the lineup. Among the series coming to XBox include "Desperate Housewives," "Hannah Montana" and "Nightline."

The announcement was made Sunday during Microsoft's keynote address opening the Consumer Electronics Show.

Microsoft added that many of the MGM movies will be available in high-definition as well as standard formats. It brings the total amount of downloadable content available on Xbox Live Marketplace to more than 3,500 hours. Company officials claim that Marketplace is now the No. 1 destination for HD downloads.

This deal comes as Microsoft revealed that it sold 4.3 million Xbox 360 consoles worldwide during the fourth quarter, bringing the total Xbox 360 installed base to 17.7 million.

Microsoft launched Xbox Live Marketplace for movies and TV in 2006 and has since signed content deals with Warner Bros., Paramount, Nickelodeon, Fox, Disney, New Line, Lionsgate, Miramax, MTV and Turner Broadcasting.

I'm not so sure about MS backing HDDVD anymore. Like you said, MS wants to make everything DD and its true its not a rumor. MS announce they want to make everything DD at CES. So far they got a lot of TV companys going digital to watch on their Xbox. Then again, im sure you will have to pay for that, so crew that. But rumor has it that MS doesnt want neither Blu-ray or HD to win.

Your right about **** thing though.
