Would you change...

one of our engineers quit last year to pursue what he was interested in... the stock market. he had no degree in that field, but that's just what he wanted to do. another engineer here is saving money to go to art school. so even if you end up with a major that you don't want for your career, you're still young and you're not set on doing what you graduated with.
At this point of the game I want to find a job that is more flexible so I can do more hiking. Maybe I save up money like Seri's friend so I can be a male nurse.
The thing is your priority change. Couple of years ago I wanted to work part time just to get more money. Now it's less work more hiking.
One thing though... money does matter, but you MUST find something you like to do. You don't want to wake up every morning and go... damn I need to go work.

I have a BS in Computer Science and I am a programmer. I like what I do but I don't like my job now. I haven't quit because I have hiking stuff line up almost every weekends so I am just worknig here.

Sometimes, what you end up in the real world isn't quite the same as the major you studied for @ school. I was a CIS major at first, then switched to product design. I'm now a backpack/bag designer, but I just got hired at an internet startup irrelevant to my last job. Yet, I'll still be keeping tabs of my clients on progress, etc. So in essence, I work @ 3 jobs, but with the internet startup as first priority, and it's all about time management.

(info i got from my sister who's studying to be a nurse practioner)
