Thanks guys.... the reason I asked, is that I just started my first nursing quarter. I used to have a pre-med degree but changed to Nursing. its just that in my class theres about 7 males and 53 females 40 of them are HOT nurses. one looks like the nurse from Kill Bill without the eye patch ofcourse.

I was kinda fortunate... I was admitted through the span of just over two weeks (and thats with a bachelors not an associate degree)... I just took the TEAS test (from ATI) and did great on the test.
I had some military experience (Combat Medic) and I had my Company Commander (Colonel) wrote me a recommendation letter.

my suggestion to you... keep your volunteer work up. they like people that volunteers in the medical field. I did my volunteers in the Operating Room in Veteran's Hospital. and also be friends with the "Top Dogs" in your department. they can give you great recomendation letters when time comes.

so is volunteer work really important? how much of it should be done? I was thinking about going back to school for it, however, I have no prior medical expierience. I work in marketing hehehe... But I am seriously considering a carreer change in a few years (after school that is). Would it be too late to start a path in nursing @ 26?
