I'm no expert on the subject, but could getting rear ended maybe disloge some charcoal from the box and sent it to the fuel tank and clog the fuel pump?

#1 go to radio shack get a cheap 2 dollar clock and get some good 3M tape.... Done Fixed!
#2 Fuel level sender is probably sticking mainly the floater connected to the arm. the arm is probably not free moving... not much you can do about this... just remember the amount of miles you can actually run based on the fuel level.
#3 cold some tihngs you need to look for...
1. Oil sludge in the intake tract caused by blow by. i suggest to use Sea Foam to clean the entire intake it will also clean out your intake valves, and valve seats. real easy to do very effective on high mileage car.
2. IAC motor check the resistance when on power the IAC motor might not be opening enough.
3. IAC motor could be gunked up with oil sludge sea foam will help on this.

Also do belts, plugs, all filters, oil change after sea foam has been used.

Can you give me a tutorial on doing #3 on my own? There must be something I can do about #2. I hate being a noob. It'd be great if I can maintain my car. I hate myself.
