Well considering the fact we're only doing speedtrial and private events. This meets tech in every shape and form.
The reason why we opted to get this roll cage is because requirement to run on a track is a main hoop. That is all.
FYI...
I've had SCCA approve this cage and many other cusco roll cage before at tech inspecition since the type of event I gotto are not racing as in wheel to wheel, just private activities.
So yeah my show cage. I love the way how people say a roll cage is not a roll cage unless its welded in. Sure its better, but not for a street car. Sure I could of just made a roll cage, But with WC I have no time to do that.

how many scca events are you going to run?
I know with me I'll pretty much never run a scca sanctioned event myself like Forumula D, World Challenge, SCCA pro Rally.
I only run private track events. No racing.

I still see why people make such a big deal out of these cages. Its not like everyone is racing. Majority of these companies that put track day events together actually let you tech your car yourself
http://www.redlinetrackevents.com/tech.html
No ratings on gloves, no ratings on bucket seats, no rating on harness
http://www.nasaproracing.com/images/..._race_tech.pdf
at least nasa lists a roll cage and restraints but still no form of sfi rating only helmet
http://speedventures.com/tech.htm
speedventures teh same as redline
http://www.speedtrialusa.com/techformwest.html
for those of you who went to speedtrial with me know about the tech inspection
Bottom line is people use so many parts, none of them are DOT approved yet no one complains. I'm not racing anybody, I'm bringing a car to the track to drive it.

Here's a pic of my previous car that we campaigned at SCCA events from 04-current
SCCA approved it and this is before I welded it to the body
Even signals cars are the same.

Lifeplaza which scca class did you compete in? Different competition requires different things. I've noticed it in rally cars when I compared it to a honda challenge cage (nasa). I was taking about actual use in competition. The things you listed like redline are HPDE days. All you have to do is show up with your car and an SA rated helmet. [off topic] do you guys remember that white sti that wrecked at streets of willow?[/off topic]
