SPT and I will be out at Willow Springs Raceway this weekend for their feb 2-3 trackday. If anyone wants to head out, you can either come and hang out, or track your car. Cost is 150/day or 250 for 2 day and all teh info and registration is at the link below.
We will only be there feb 2 testing the new Evo (testing the STI soon). Hope to see you there.

Nothing like driving a media car that doesnt belong to you on a big scary track with a big scary wall.
But in all seriousness, its a fun track and you set your own pace. Good for all experience levels with instruction available. Not too far from the LA area, so anyone interested should come out. Price is pretty good too. $150 for a track day is not so bad. Tell everyone you know as they still have a bunch of open space

Hey Charlesj,
I'll be there over the whole weekend. I actually staff/crew for the guy who runs Speedtrial. It'll be my first time on Big Willow so I'll be in n00b class or maybe slow intermediate. Looks for a Blue GC with gold wheels and a So Cal Pubies sticker.

The only two things that matter to upgrade on a track event is brake pads and fluid. Everything else is fine stock or in any modified form as long as its in good shape, especially tires. At big willow, its not a hard braking track as there are not as many big straights leading into hairpins. We will be in a bone stock car.
For anyone that has never been on track, it is the ultimate way to learn your car. You can learn more from one track day then 10 years of street driving. Once you have tracked once, you realize its not nearly as big a deal as it seems, nor is it scary unless you have a habit of over running your ability. The natural tendency though for beginners is to not going near the limit.

Great. Ali and I will probably be the only ones with an evo X there. It will probably be the grey one from all the reviews. I have a white helmet with alpines stars sticker. We will probably be in evoM(traitors, i know) or boost labs shirts since this is an evo thing for us. Wish Subaru would hurry up and give us an STI to test.

It's all good. Majority of the time I'm at the track, I'm there with a Mazda RX8 and Acura RSX.
I'll be at the Hankook/JIC trailor, just ask for Franco if you need anything at the event.
