Silver WRX in Westwood... Cool Mods! Who's car?
I was heading back to work today and saw a pretty trick Silver WRX in Westwood Village where I work...
It had carbon fiber spoiler, an adjustable rear carbon plane wing, Rota's and new Falken Azeni's... sp?
Also the front intercooler intake was custom... higher and split..
There were small SCCA old logo stickers all over it as well... must be a Auto-X car...
The car looked quick sitting still!
Since my 03' silver WRX is still completely stock on the outside, it looks boring comp. to this car... not too RICEY at all!
The upside is when I'm winding the turbo up on the street or freeway, the car is rather stealthy and generic looking...

Yep,
It's amazing how a lowered silver car with a good window tint, decent wheels, low profile rubber, a trick c/f spoiler and an adjustable c/f rear spoiler changes the car's character so much...
The intake was unlike any other out there... it was even higher in profile than the '04's, and the air splitter was unique...
The car also had a url like Streetfunk.com or something with Street in it and a set of the original wire wheel SCCA 3" round decals..
I got a LONG way to go, but after the meet last week, have plenty of ideas!

its unforntunate that we got no where to park and loiter in the village, it would be a good place for a meet. How cool would it be to clog westwood blvd. with subies. Well cool for us anyway, probably **** off all them old gits that normally clog the place.

I agree Rapid_Roo....
so glad I have the lot 32 parking structure to house my WRX....
if it weren't for UCLA permit parking, I'd be screwed with meter parking where if your 10 seconds late to feed the thing, you get two tickets... one for the meter, and one for no front plate.. (me)
Hope I can get it inspected at the DMV, like when I got one for the street cleaning day... and pay the partial amount of the fine...
When I used to park my 92 #24 Silver Mazda Spec Miata race car as a daily driver b4 the Subie, one of the UC cops was very eager to write me up for smog devices, but when I showed him my CARB intake decal, he became nice...
We could meet at the top roof level of lot 32 at nite, but since some of the UC cops can be inquisitive, better not...

depending on who's on duty, I can take care of the lawn enforcement types. I got that lame *** addition for no front plate as well, but from them LA County punks. I had one in Camarillo try to give me a no front plate ticket alone, but I think she figured out that I would give her hell for it.

You know I thought about that, or the Longs Drugs upper deck parking lot. No one is ever up there, and all we have to do is go down to Best Buys and validate the ticket. Hmmm that's a thought.

You know, that's the place for a Westside meet!
I work in BofA on the forth floor, and the upper deck of Long's is always empty...
We could have a meet up there and get those punks at Best Buy to validate us...

what they need to do is re-do the whole damn thing, and make it entrance only on Le Conte and make it exit only on the side street.

I live in westwood and i always roll through westwood village, i rarley see another suby and when i do its most often a stock one. You may have seen me, i have the midnight pearl wrx sittin on rota attacks. Havin a meet up at the Longs parking lot would be a cool idea.
