heres the problem with xvid. they use the the .AVI extension and the PS3 sees that extension and tries to play it. However due to how the AVI file is encoded (may it be xvid or divx) you may need to force the media server to transcode it. When i used TVersity i set it to always transcode.

mike, how are you going to watch your fav show that you downloaded from your computer on your tv. i know you have a 19" monitor but imagine if you can watch all those videos on your living room tv?

I have alot of episode of heroes, the office etc in xvid.
They all played fine on ps3.
on rmvb i had to set tversity to always transcoded or it doesn't know what to do.

ps3 has been the best investment i've ever made. tversity has worked pretty good for me.

only reason for overlock in the past was because people that were buying celeron chips and want to max out the performance out of them for gaming.
Usually extreme gamers
Cheaper parts + overlock = performance of more expensive parts
Unless you are playing games that are at maximum of what your system can handle that's the only reason to overclock.
