problem with factory sound system..... please help!

what was under teh seat i thought you are suppose to tap it at the battery i dont understand

Check to see if the sub has it's own amp. If so you just blew the fuse on the amp, no big deal. Vertually all amplifiers will have a fuse on them to protect from this type of thing. If the sub is powered from the deck, there is a chance you could have blown that channel. When I pulled the factory deck out of wrx however I didn't see an extra channel for the sub. If you have a needle power tester, put it on the line you tapped into to see if it is live. If the line is hot, you blew something on the sub. If the line is dead you blew something at the power source. That's my 2 cents
