I am Yoda, the oldest member......
I am ARG. I bought my 1999 Rally Blue RS coupe in Dec 1998. It is one of the "first" of the 99's.
I am also most likely one of the oldest members to be driving such a "young mans" car. I'm 42.....worked as an auto technician for 17 years +
My RS is supercharged and intercooled. If I were to list my mods, it would take 4 web pages. Let's just say that it's quite fast.
My car is in mint condition, just turned 46,000 original miles. I have beaten every Honda I've raced. The only car that gave me a decent challenge was a 2nd Gen DSM turbo Eclipse. That was one fast DSM!!!!! I took my car to redline in 5th (most of you can't do that) and I still couldn't get around him. I'll never forget that run........
I have a secret.......I know of a Subaru near by that does 0-60 in 4.9 seconds and does the 1/4 in 12.3...............and it's an automatic.......he he.........figure that one out!
Guess who else is converting to automatic? Me....................
I'll be selling my 5 speed, Fidanza flywheel, ClutchNet 1800 lb pressure plate/clutch, STi short shifter, STi tranny mount, Kart Boy bushing, stainless stele clutch line, clutch slave and master, and my clutch pedel very soon.........
Cherrs all, ARG
