Yes and no. The bancorp, or what used to be our parent company filed BK. Once the FDIC took over, they severed the ties to the parent and now we are loaded because we have the backing of the US government. Not sure how that works seeing as the US is in a hole deeper than any financial institution currently in or even not in business at this time!

 

well guess who is going to pay that?

 

Yup. I work for the government which is running the bank and financed via my taxes.
