Got a parking ticket last night. I'm curious, what happens if you don't pay the parking ticket?

 

there will be a warrant out for you. they won't go looking for you or anything but you can get arrested at anytime after that. can't renew registration until it's paid and some other things.

Arrest warrent for not paying a parking ticket, lol it seems like you can get a arrest warrent for anyhting.

 

I hate those things. I got them before at my old apartment cuz I would forget the damn street sweeping day.

what was the parking ticket for. your fine eventually gets doubled--tripled and they hold registration of your car until it's paid off. they do mail notices to the registered owner of the car. too many unpaid parking tickets and you get a parking boot the next time they see your car.

 

I would say just get it taken care of, and not even question what would happen if you don't pay it. Its usually no more than 50 bucks (at least back when i used to get them with the truck). Cheapest ticket you'll ever have to deal with.

 

The street I parked on required to have a parking permit. Didn't notice the sign so ended up getting the ticket.

 

That happened to me last year when I spent the night at my friends house. I would always park on her street late at night and never got a ticket. Then one day I got a lame *** parking ticket. I was pissed... she didnt even know they could do that.

I paid it off. It was around like $40 i think

 

the price of the ticket is 40 bucks, maybe the price depends on which city you get it in. Jerry paid 50 while george paid 40. Guess I'm lucky I'm paying 40, but yeah I'll paid that stupid thing off.

my coworker got a ticket while he was on his bike (bicycle) and forgot about it. four years later he gets pulled over and the officer informs his that he has a warrant out for his arrest. the fine had increased to $900+ over the 4 years and he had to pay it.
