Official SoCal Restaurant Review Thread

Everyone has there own preference in terms of eatery. Some hates the plain old juicy steak, some hates sea urchin, and I don't really like cilantro (not parsley). Then sometimes, the zaggats review don't mean jack. But if you can think of any great socal restaurant and would like to share your experience with everyone, this would be a great thread to do so. Your review can be as critical as judging the restaurant base on only food or everything from the decor of the restaurant interior to service of the dishes. Food for thoughts. Knock yourself out.

california roll factory

Los Angeles, 90025 - (310) 996-2366

great lively place. guaranteed waiting during peak eating hours. they have a sushi bar with about 3 chefs. also a couple tables, it's not that big however. the service is a bit lacking when it gets busy, my waitress at the time looked like she was about ready to plop over and die. service isn't the issue here, however. the great thing about this place is people make up their own rolls and name them, then stick their newly-named on the wall along with the ingredients. you'll see names such as the "wu-tang" roll, "hole in one" roll, "cindy's" roll, and so on. some of the rolls were really tasty. the sushi, although not the best, was still good, fresh, and the rolls are very decently sized. price is moderate to high, depending on how much you eat! it's my little hole-in-the-wall restaurant, a good place to take a date or a few of your sushi buddies for some good and fun eating.
