I'd be interested in a catalog. I need a hobby (so as long its not TOO expensive), nothing crazy, probably just an RC car that I can drift around the parking lot with.

Since when has a hobby been INexpensive? haha
PM me for catalog or questions on R/C. Although be forewarned that if you like to mod your real car, then the R/C bug may be even worse for you.

lol.
I'm the marketing coordinator for Tamiya. Cliff notes: I do ALL the b!tch work from advertising, media, print, web, reports, data analysis, trade shows, to dropping stuff off at the post office... you get the picture.
Oh, and I am going to the Subaru event this Saturday. I'm signed up for the 5pm slot. Should I wear my pink shirt to match everyone's STi injectors? haha
I got some Mabuchi motors here, but none of the crazy four slot ones

We tech for those at the TCS races now, so that's a no go. However ppl have found ways to zap the magnets to increase their strength and 10000xx ways of break-in methods from dipping in milk, lotion, sunscreen... etc

water dip is fine. There is an AMP draw and RPM limit. IIRC, AMP draw limit is 2.5 amps at 1.5 volts. And I believe rpm can't exceed 20,000. This is for the black sport tuned motor though. Regional races run silver cans (Johnsons are the strong ones, not Mabuchi), the finals race uses sport tuned motors that are SPEC handouts.
They scrapped F1 due to turn out. However this year there is a LeMans class (F103GT chassis). I still have my F201 but its too fast for the street (40+ mph) so its a shelf queen. As for the JDM stuff, no way around the old 'ol EPA. However you can try www.hlj.com to see if they can order it for you (straight from the source)
EDIT:
here is the LeMans car (work in progress). I tried a custom paint scheme to match the LC70 Courage Swiss Spirit but the custom decal work is starting to get difficult and time consuming

a used one was the only one in my budget but they were so few and far between that it was almost impossible to find one. so i widened my scope and ended up with a z.
