how bout a 2.5rs NA motor with a turbo charger? 550 injector 255 walboro in-tank pump?
Right now its on a ROM chip on the stock ECU but it's been crapping out on me so I need new options. No one in the US has been able to crack or figure out my ECU so I figure I'll just get a new one that's more user friendly

Umm, I can choose to do whatever I want with the ECU without having to go to a tuner. I can unplug it, sell it and get money back.. I can have several options for maps and just reflash as needed/wanted...
Basically, AP offers much more flexibility over ECUtek. There are tuners that are offering "E-Tunes" now. TDC Tuning offers the ability of sending you Protuner maps in e-mail format. You send them a log, and they send you a map. If you wish to fine tune the map, they will have you send more logs in, etc.
Anyways.. AP=flexibility, which is a real + to me.

Hello jsalicru,
I highly recommend having every car individually tuned. not all cars react the same to tuning. a common map could cause problems for some cars and not to others.
This is not my opinion, it is fact.
Hope this helps

I would love for Ferdie to give me a better deal, but in all honesty, he will probably give me retail+tax. AKA $649+tax. Many out of state dealers do $649 shipped... no tax.
Regarding tuning, yes, I agree 100%. A custom tune is THE way to go. My STi pinged like crazy with Cobb's maps.
However, that's an option that I have with AP. I don't plan to use their off-the-shelf maps for long.
But see w/ ECUtek I purchase a licence and man hours. If I ever sell the car or need a new tune... then I just lost what I had on the old one (1) and if I ever sell the car.. I bring it back to stock.. I now not only lost the tuning time money, but I also lost the licence money too. With the AP, I can just sell it to someone else. They can take a risk and try out my maps if they want to, but that's a risk they take.. I still get compensated.
EXAMPLE: BLITZSTI He's got my old AP. He runs my old basemaps. If he wants to, which he hasn't, he can try my old ProTuner map on his car. Its there for him to try. I made 290whp with it... There's no way I could have successfully sold a ECUTek ECU at a later time in the same way I sold my AP. Its really that simple.
Again, flexibility.

A customer of mine totalled his ECUTEKed 2004 STI, we took the ecu out of the car and traded it with a stock ecu. The guy sold it for $800, and all the new owner has to do is get it reflashed to compliment his mods and his car.
There are always options!

FYI- this mornings Ecutek
Hello All,
FYI
Just wanted to let you guys know we tuned a 2005 STi this morning and SHAWN managed to pull out 32 hp in the midrange and 10whp at the top, 28 Torque in the midrange and 33 Torque at the top, these are all WHEEL horsepower numbers.
Needless to say the owner was extremely pleased.
Dark Industries-
The car was running pretty well when it got there, that is why peak horspower was up only 10 or so HP.
