Hi all.

I'm considering buying a used 2.2l Legacy and the owner lives in Murrieta. Since this would be my first Subaru, I'd like to have it looked over thoroughly by an honest and competent Subaru specialist mechanic or shop. "Nitty gritty" things that I wouldn't be able to check myself just by looking at it without a lift or the appropriate equipment. The owner is willing to drive a "reasonable" distance, to places like Corona or Temecula, etc.

I was wondering if any of you know of reputable places in that vicinity that you could recommend?

Norm Reeves Subaru in Temecula want $195 (!) to check it out, and the guy I spoke to was a bit of an a$$ to me on the phone. Plus, dealerships are usually d!cks about letting you watch what they are doing -- a guy at a good shop will usually let you watch and explain what's going on.
