i'm assuming "hollywood" means me? the light output is ok. it's a different pattern than stock, so with the low beams, it's just different, but with the high beams, it's a world of difference. i noticed the biggest difference driving to vegas at night. i was in the middle of the desert, and flicked on my high beams when i was going *really* fast, and it looked like daylight. huge difference over stock.
i should note that for my low beam bulbs, i'm running replacement sylvania bulbs from pepboys. not the silverstars or anything, just the regular $9 replacements. but i remember thinking that the morette bulbs weren't that much better, that they are just a different beam pattern than stock - even with the morette bulbs. the high beams are the original morette bulbs.

hope this helps.

oh, i'm trying to post a pic of how i have them painted. but if it doesn't work, pm me with your email addy and i can email them to you.

take it easy

I know it's short notice, but if you want to see some Morettes installed on WRXs you should be in Palmdale between May 2-4. There should be about a dozen WRXs with Morettes at the Rim of the World and I'm sure someone would be happy to turn them on for you at night.

I just bought a 2002 WRX for my fiance' and don't care for the stock headlights AT ALL. I'm pretty sure that the Morette upgrade is for me but I'd like to see them installed, in person. I'd also like to see how well they work at night... afterall, what good is a headlamp kit if it doesn't work well at night. If anyone has a WRX with the Morette lights installed and can spare a few minutes please let me know. I'm in the Arrowhead area but regularly travel down to Orange County for business.

If there are any casual (and local) WRX meets I'd be interested in stopping by and checking out what other WRX owners have done.

Another question... has anyone driven a new WRX with the Prodrive Stage 1 - 2 - 3 kit installed? I stopped by Irvine Subaru and checked out their new 2003 Prodrive special edition WRX's and listened to one with the Prodrive catback - sounded pretty good from the outside but I'd like to know what it sounds like on the inside when cruising the freeway - I can't stand droning noises.

Any other tips for a new SoCal WRX owner?

Aloha

I'd cross post this on nasioc.com/forums SCIC regional forum, for the mere reason that you'll get a lot more responses.

As for the Pro Drive Power Pack, I was also given a test ride. And to be honest, I was much more impressed with the English dude's driving skill than the power of the car. But then again, he didn't really "push it", really showing the pack's power. It may have been because he was tired of giving people test rides, or he may have chosen to illustrate that in a car with the power pack, you don't need to push it.

In either case, my opinion? A bit pricey for what it is. I'd rock Vishnu and use the left over cash toward suspension/handling.
