A learning experience...
So it was 2am in quiet Santa Clarita when my friend and I (along with 2 girls we had been hanging out with that night) decided not to call it a night. We went out into an area of town we call the industrial boondocks with our cars (me in my 03 wrx sedan and my friend in his 98 z28). We began practicing 90 degree turns, fishtail style, which was a little more difficult for me compared to his rwd. So, nonetheless I did a few 180s and did a few e-brake slides around the turn, getting my ***-end to kick out 90 degrees around the turn. Well the last stunt of the night consisted of me attempting to combine the 180 and the slide around the corner. This is when I made a few mistakes... First off, I did get the car completely sideways in the turn, which was the goal, but I started the turn too early and did not counter-steer enough to compensate for going sideways instead of just at 90 degrees. The result was me taking out some sandbags, a few dilineators, and then finally launching off the sandbags (going approx. 30-35mph) and hitting a section of the curb (that just happened to be a storm drain) at about a 35 degree angle. Well, the result was a tire with a nice little chunk flapped out on the side wall, a bent rim, bent left strut, bent front left lower control arm, bent left tie rod, and a pretty messed up alignment (no frame damage *whew*). I threw on the donut and drove her home, she pulled to the left a lot. I had her towed to Big Valley the next day and well $1450 and 4 new tires later she's back home.
So what I've learned is that the more your *** end comes out in a turn, the more you need to countersteer :-P and that girls influence me to do things that I normally would not... :-P
But it doesn't seem to be completely fixed yet. While driving I hear this oscilating possibly rotation noise coming from the front left area of the car. I thought that it may have been the plastic in that area vibrating because I lost one of the plastic screws that hold it in place, but I took the whole section of plastic off that side and still heard the noise. I'm thinking about taking it back to the Big Valley and asking them wtf, but I hate dealing with dealership crap. If something else is damaged that they didn't find I want to get it fixed. The car seems to slightly (very slightly) pull to the right and there doesn't appear to be any unusual tire tread wear and from what I can see, the tire isn't hitting anything. I'm thinking I should throw the donut back on and see if I still hear the noise with that. I really just have no clue what could be causing this noise. I have 57k miles and am in need of the 60k maint, which I do plan on doing very soon, my belts are beginning to whistle. Any suggestions on what could be causing this noise?
Also as kind of a side note, I live in Santa Clarita and as of yet, I haven't found a good local shop for servicing my car, so I have to go down into LA everytime I need something fixed. Does anyone know of one in the SCV area or somewhere very close?
-Thanks (sorry for long post)

While your *** end is out you have to hurry up and countersteer to help the front wheels catch up, once every thing feels in synch the rear wheel start to rotate faster which means you have to set the steering close to zero.
Good luck drift king

Anyway, I havent heard of any shops in the SCV. I know Arnie the subaru suspension and wheel guru lives out there. Maybe he would be able to help you out and check to see what the problem is...

Well, I think what happened is that because I didn't countersteer enough, when I engaged the transmission and punched it, my tires were pointed at the curb instead of away from the curb, out of the turn. So I got traction and went into the curb.
