i get my fios installed on tuesday. and they do run optic to the house they just dug at my house today to run the optic from the jump box so it will be ready on tuesday when i get all the components for fios tv and fios internet. att only run copper to your house. my total package for tv, internet, and phone will be around 140 a month.

The developer worked for this summer is actually laying FiOs cables under each project so that when FiOs finally reaches them, the infrastructure is already there.

Cool. I know they run FiOs to people's houses. I was just saying unless your paying for it to be installed, it's not running to everyone's house.In most cases, they run copper to each house because it's WAY cheaper. It's cool that you're getting FiOs, (kinda jealous) but you're also paying way more than other ppl. So really, your case is rare, but becoming more common.

Anyway, what about direct TV.. Don't they offer some type of internet option? I thought I heard of something a while back that they do.. I could be wrong tho

don't think they charge you to run fiber to your house, that's how they're trying to sell fios.. but verizon is going to be totalled screwed because yes it is way more expensive that way.
